The Scotland men’s national football team, governed by the Scottish Football Association and part of FIFA and UEFA, is one of the oldest in the world and is followed everywhere by the Tartan Army. Scotland have qualified for nine World Cups, most recently in 2026, and four European Championships, and have won the British Home Championship outright 24 times. Kenny Dalglish, Denis Law, Jim Baxter, Andy Robertson and John McGinn are among the players most associated with the dark blue. Scotland are led by Sébastien Pocognoli, appointed in August 2026.
